In dem Seminar wird ein Überblick zum aktuellen Forschungsstand zu den Gegenständen Text, Diskurs und Korpus gegeben. Die Studierenden erwerben Kompetenzen in der Analyse von Texten und lernen die konstitutiven Merkmale von Texten als sprachlichen Formen kommunikativer Handlungen kennen. Im Seminar werden verschiedene Diskursbegriffe vorgestellt, dabei wird jedoch der Bezug zu linguistischen Methoden der Diskursanalyse gewahrt. In die Benutzung großer Korpora wird eingeführt und sie werden zu diskursanalytischen Zwecken genutzt.

In dem Seminar wird mit Moodle und Zoom gearbeitet.

Fostered by the development of mass media like the radio or the TV, the broadcasted news interview has become one of the most important institutionalized sites for the production of public discourse. Needless to say perhaps, the news interview is a highly specialized form of interaction. In this course, we will develop an analytic apparatus for investigating how specific institutional constraints and normative expectations shape this form of interaction as well as the conduct of those (inter-)acting in it. Among others, we will look at the particular way(s) in which the news interview is organized, what sorts of (journalistic) considerations inform the way in which interviewers ask questions and how interviewees deal with those questions (e.g., answering, resisting or evading questions).
