In this course, theories from cognitive and motivational science are discussed and applied in the context of educational instruction.

By the end of the semester, students will be able to:

1. Learn the basic findings from cognitive and educational psychology related to instructional psychology, with a focus on processes and potential contextual factors.

2. Understand how to apply these findings to their teaching.

3. Gain experience interpreting scientific evidence related to teaching and evaluating the accuracy of learning-related advice.
