This block seminar investigates the role, functions, competences and framework conditions of local politics and administration and civil society actors within the EU Multilevel governance system. Therefore the interconnectedness and interrelations of the local level with the supranational and national level will be explored.
After laying the groundwork of the seminar with a theoretical framework, two study trips to local administrations in the federal states of Brandenburg and Berlin will be conducted.
May 5, 8-10 am introductory session, June 2 (University Potsdam Campus) & June 6 and 7 (study trip to Frankfurt [Oder] and Berlin) and June 23 (University Potsdam Campus).
