Through this course we will explore Ancient History through the lens of Queer Theory. Material culture including sculptures, vases, and frescoes will be analysed alongside ancient literature to provide a broad insight into experiences in Antiquity which may been understood as 'Queer'. The course will cover a broad theoretical approach, including using Black Classicism, Crip Theory/ Studies of Disability, and intersectional feminism.
