Our course on the “advanced methods in geochronology” lectures about the methods of the (1) in-situ U-Pb dating by laser ablation and the (2) Ar/Ar dating by laser heating and ablation, and their potentially applicable geoscientific topics. The laboratories for both methods are in the institute and this makes our own careful and systematical application of these methods to our own rock/mineral samples or stratigraphy relatively easier. Their conventional to advanced methods with obtained radiometric ages as well as isotope ratios are lectured and discussed with each correspondent target samples and topics from the magmatic and metamorphic petrology, general geology and so on. The course includes lectures, exercises and practices and the final notes for this course will be scored by the submitted homework for both parts.
