Military situations will be analyzed in their discursive effects. The empirical facts will be less relevant than their narratives and presentations. Further considerations will focus on the effects on politics and public awareness. Students will be dealing with diverse kinds oft exts, e.g. scientific, journalistic, press, graphic, or trivial. We shall decide, whether the language will be English or German, or both. This is an „Oberseminar“ (advanced course) and hopefully meeting demanding student expectations.
The introductory dialogue between the students and the lecturer will permit to select the respective conflict areas and the related references that have been prepared for Afghanistan, Algeria, Middle East and Ukraine.
