This the course Functional Analysis 1 in the Mathematics Master program. It will mainly be based on the book
Reed/Simon: Modern Methods of Mathematical Physics vol.1; Functional Analysis. There is some intersection with my
course on PDE. The main aim is to reach the spectral theory for self-adjoint operators in Hilbert space.
