The course Open Innovation in Science (OIS) will equip its participants with the theoretical knowledge, practical skills and knowing-how to open up their research process and create innovative impact. It’s a comprehensive course for students of all faculties on a Master level and for scientists who want to work strategically with the idea of open science and look for methods to realize their scientific ideas as innovative research projects. OIS reflects a multidisciplinary approach encompassing subjects such as collaborative innovation, business model innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship, finance, intellectual property, open innovation, research data management and open access publication. Made by an experienced team at the University of Potsdam and enriched by international experts the course offers valuable opportunities to create and apply scientific knowledge with an impact.
Taking place online or in a blended format, each of the twelve modules contains a mix of learning material, self-study activities and interactive, practical exercises. Case studies from the University of Potsdam and beyond give insights in the application of OIS concepts in practice.
