Modern Methods in Light Microscopy

Topics of this course are modern light-microscopic techniques as used in cell biology and physiology (e.g. confocal microscopy, live cell imaging, 3D microscopy, ion imaging, superresolution microscopy, quantitative microscopic techniques), but also classical light-microscopic techniques. The lecture presents the microscopic hardware and methods in theory. The seminar discloses possible applications and problems of selected microscopic techniques. In the practical course, the students will execute exemplary experiments in cell biology and cell physiology in order to train various microscopic technique
