Seminar Description: This seminar examines the link between diversity and social inequalities in contemporary societies, including Germany. In the first part of the seminar (from meeting 1 to 9), consideration will be given to the meaning of diversity and to the analysis of educational practices related to the production and perpetuation of inequalities. The seminar will then turn its attention to the analysis of how different forms of diversity may lead to inequalities in education. In the second part (from meeting 10 to 15), students will be conducting interviews with experts to deepen their knowledge about inequalities in Germany, then they will create case studies and engage in peer-reviews.
